Yvette Kathurima
Yvette Kathurima is an African feminist, leader, and advocate for social justice based in Nairobi with over 15 years of experience in advocacy, gender programming, grant management, network coordination and resource mobilisation. She has worked at The Adey Fund, Girls Not Brides, FEMNET and the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Africa Region. Yvette sits on the Board of the Firelight Foundation and the East Africa Board of the Creative Action Institute. She is also on the Steering Committee of the Elevate Children Funders Group and is an Advisor at Eyala. She is currently the Senior Manager, Equity, Gender & Youth at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) where she co-leads the implementation of CIFF’s DEI agenda across its programmes and partnerships. Yvette has a master's degree in development focusing on Women, Gender, and Development from the Institute of Social Studies and an undergraduate degree in International Relations. She firmly believes in facilitating resources so that they go where they are most needed – often to historically excluded groups.
