Our weekly partner spotlight. This week we take a look at Tikondane Positive Living Support Organisation, TIPOLISO, in Zomba, Malawi.

TIPOLISO is making it happen by fighting the stigma related to HIV and AIDS and promoting the interest of vulnerable children, widows, and people living with HIV and AIDS in their community.

TIPOLISO promotes human rights, food security, household economic strengthening, and early childhood development in southern Malawi. They also provide small business education and entrepreneurial opportunities for adolescent girls and women. They do this through a Village Savings and Loan (VSL) model through which they train women in entrepreneurship, group dynamics, financial literacy, data management, bookkeeping, and reporting. This strengthens the VSL groups to run small businesses and generate sustainable income to support their families. Some examples of these small businesses include selling vegetables or dried fish and weaving businesses.
