Program Assistant

As Program Assistant, La’Twan Roddey provides executive and technical support to the Director of Program & Learning. She also supports the administration of grants, contracts, and payments. Periodically, she provides broader support to the Program and Learning Team as well.

Prior to joining Firelight, La’Twan was a grant writer for nonprofits and community organizations serving marginalized communities in a variety of program areas such as education, youth development, workforce development, and healthcare. Prior to her work as a grant writer, La’Twan gained experience in grants management, program planning and program coordination while working in a variety of education support programs at Georgia State University. During her time at Georgia State University, she also provided administrative support to faculty, staff, and leadership in the Department of Supplemental Instruction and the Department of Early Childhood & Elementary Education.

La’Twan holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors of Business Management from the University of West Georgia. She now resides in Zimbabwe, and enjoys reading and being outdoors in her free time.
