FIRELIGHT DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Interested in learning about the world of nonprofit fundraising? Want to learn more about the fields of brand messaging and digital communications? We would love to have you! Glad to help you learn, we prefer you have a strong interest and/or background for these positions.

We have two volunteer opportunities open at this time:

Fundraising Support Volunteer

You will bring the skills to become proficient with:

Prospect Research

Event planning & implementation

Represent Firelight Foundation at events

Plan and execute café showings of photos

Complete funding applications

Donor correspondence

Prospect correspondence

Digital Media Outreach Volunteer

You will bring the skills to become proficient with:

Adobe Creative Suite, specifically:

Illustrator

Photoshop

Video production, filming & editing:

Video camera (basic and a bit more complex)

iMovie (or other editing software at your disposal)

YouTube

Digital Storytelling

Email blast design:

Constant Contact

Basic HTML

How To Apply

Send an email to dawn@firelightfoundation.org with “Development Volunteer” in the subject line, list the position title for which you are applying in the email body, and attach the following documents:

A cover letter explaining your interest and relevant qualifications for the position
Your résumé/CV
Your availability (we are here 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday)
